VISION

My Story
SUBRAMANYAM PRM
Director | Storyteller
ABOUT ME
I am a filmmaker who believes that great cinema exists at the intersection of entertainment and meaning. Based in Bangalore, I approach every story with the conviction that audiences deserve narratives that both thrill and transform them. My work explores the rich tapestry of Indian culture—its mythology, social complexities, and contemporary struggles—through genres that captivate: horror, thriller, and character-driven drama.
Whether crafting supernatural tales rooted in folklore or intimate romances set against the backdrop of creative pursuits, I remain committed to cinema that resonates beyond the theater. I believe films should spark conversations, challenge perspectives, and leave lasting impressions.
MY VISION: THE THREE EYES OF CINEMA
As a director, I view every film through three essential lenses—what I call my "Three Eyes"
1. PLOT (The Eye of Structure)
The spine that holds everything together.
Every story must have an architecture that compels. I craft narratives with unexpected twists, escalating stakes, and satisfying payoffs. Plot is not just about what happens—it's about how revelations unfold, how information is withheld and released, and how audiences are kept leaning forward in their seats. Whether it's the slow-burn dread of a supernatural mystery or the heartfelt journey of young lovers, the plot must be meticulously constructed to serve the emotional truth of the story.
2. PUNCH (The Eye of Impact)
The visceral moment that makes audiences gasp, laugh, or cry.
Cinema is a sensory experience. I believe in creating moments that linger—scenes that audiences replay in their minds long after leaving the theater. This could be a shocking twist, a perfectly timed comedic beat, a haunting visual, or an emotionally devastating confession. The "punch" is what makes a film memorable. It's the difference between a story that's merely told and one that's felt. I chase these moments relentlessly in every script and every frame.
3. PURPOSE (The Eye of Meaning)
The reason the story deserves to exist.
Entertainment without purpose is empty; purpose without entertainment is preachy. I seek the balance. Every film I make must ask: Why does this story matter? What does it reveal about human nature, society, or the world we live in? Whether exploring themes of karmic justice, social inequality, the cost of ambition, or the transformative power of love, my films carry intention. They don't lecture—they illuminate. They invite audiences to reflect, question, and perhaps see the world slightly differently than before.
